Otti reports that the ABSU DVC abductor is in custody.
Prof. Godwin Emezue, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics) of Abia State University in Uturu, has been freed from captivity.

This was disclosed by Abia State Governor Alex Otti on Friday during his monthly media briefing with reporters at Government House in Umuahia.
He added that the second mastermind was taken into custody in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and that the gang’s commander was apprehended at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos while attempting to board a flight to Turkey.
The governor added that the arrest was made possible by the efforts of Operation Crush, a combined security squad established by his government that is having the desired effect of rooting out criminals. The governor said the two had since been brought back to Abia State to answer for their crimes.
Governor Otti went on to say that he has been using his office’s security votes to safeguard the state in accordance with his campaign pledges. He emphasized that maintaining the lives and safety of Abia inhabitants has come at a considerable financial cost and promised to continue working toward that goal.
